In the context of genomic sciences, the Medical Biology department conducts research in identification of rare disease genes and the molecular fundamentals of genetic diseases by using “omics” technologies. Department also performs research on biomarker identification and investigation of new therapeutic approaches. Several collaborations are held with basic and medical science divisions of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and also with Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Science
